Epos Now Delivery - Automatic stock updates
We’re excited to confirm our Epos Now Delivery Integration now supports automatic stock sync.
This means that Epos Now Delivery powered by Deliverect will automatically deduct the stock of the product on your till when it receives an order from your delivery platforms. This integration will also allow for master product links to be set up.

Epos Now Bar Tabs and Preauth
Pre-authorisation (also known as pre-auths) allows businesses to temporarily ‘hold’ an amount of money from the customer’s credit or debit card as a form of assurance that there are enough funds to cover the total balance owed. Once the total balance is authorised for a transaction, the held amount is deducted from the total.
This feature is extensively used in the hospitality industry, primarily in bars and restaurants where businesses want to offer customers the option to open a tab.
Pre-auths are helpful for bars and restaurants because it:
- Limits fraud from stolen or fake cards
- Pre-authorised card helps prevent “insufficient funds” or “I can’t pay” situations
- Increases the pace of service as the card is securely saved and the transaction can be closed with one tap
For Epos Now Payments customers, you can enable pre-auths and set up your default pre-auth amount in the Back Office. Once set up is complete, simply tap, swipe or dip your customer’s card to create a tab.

Pay by link
Pay by Link is a secure method of processing cardholder not present transactions, without the need for customers to read out and share sensitive information over the phone.
Pay by Link requires the merchant’s customer to enter their payment information into a secure platform after receiving a link by email or SMS.
This payment method reduces chargebacks, minimises fraudulent activities carried out via traditional card not present payment methods, and ensures the highest protection standards for yourself and your customers.
Pay by link is intended to replace traditional Mail Order Telephone Order (a.k.a MOTO).
Following a limited trial of Pay by Link, the following improvements were made:
- Preventing the cash drawer for Pay by Link transactions from opening if the setting is set to “open cash drawer: cash transactions”.
- The issue of viewing the SMS keypad for Pay by Link transactions is now resolved.
Refund enchancement for Epos Now Payments
Thanks to your feedback we have added visualisation of card data to the Refund process.
As a cashier, you can now see the last four digits of the card number and the card brand that was used to pay for the original purchase. This enables the cashier to confirm which card the payment refund needs to be made to.
