Following the Prime Minister's 22 February address, we were delighted to receive the Government’s latest timetable and advice for the reopening of the hospitality and retail sectors. This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for, and Epos Now is here to help make your grand reopening as smooth as possible.
Important Updates
If your business has not been considered essential, there’s a good chance you’ve spent some time away from your POS system.
Over recent months, we’ve been working in the background on several important software updates to our systems. It’s advisable to turn on your Epos Now system and complete these updates as soon as you can, leaving plenty of time before you open.
Setting up your Device
How do I install my updates?
To install updates, all you need to do is turn on your system. As long as your POS system is connected to the internet, it will automatically update. When you first log in and open your till, you may notice another update. This is due to other changes we’ve made in the time you’ve been away.
What if I have issues installing updates?
Since you may have been away from your POS system for a while, it’s possible that your system may get stuck on cloud sync. If this happens, you’ll need to unassign your license.
How do I unassign my license?
To unassign your license, you will need to login to your back office via eposnowhq.com and follow the steps below:
Do I need to check my printer ports?
If you’re using a Windows device, you’ll also need to check your printer ports/queue to ensure that you’re able to print receipts. Please follow the below steps:
