We’re excited to announce that you will soon be able to access a new tipping report that is designed to help you better manage service charges and gratuity. 

The report will allow you to:

  • Select a specific time frame
  • View hours worked by employees over that period
  • See a detailed breakdown of gratuity and service charges generated

You will find this new report under Reporting > Banking in your Back Office, and it will also be available for export as a CSV file for easy record-keeping and sharing with a troncmaster.

Please note: In the UK, this report will be called the Tronc Report; for businesses outside the UK, it will be known as the Tipping Report.

Tronc Report

You can now log in to your Back Office using the same credentials you would use to log in to your Apple products. This is made possible via Apple’s single sign-on (SSO) feature. 

SSO ensures a speedier, more simplified user experience and prevents the user from having to remember additional usernames and or passwords.

We’re excited to launch our integration with Grateful.

Grateful helps hospitality businesses manage their tipping. With tipping legislation changes coming into effect on 1 October 2024, employers must ensure that workers receive the full tip from customers.

Grateful collects and distributes tips transparently, ensuring that 100% of the tip goes directly to the individual. Grateful gives team members instant access to their funds without waiting until payday to receive their tips.

Clocking in/out slips is a new feature, available for any users that use the clock in/out feature on the till.

It gives users the option to print a record via the receipt printer when they clock in or out, and includes the staff name, location and total amount of worked hours.

After much feedback from our Epos Now Community, we’re excited to announce that our new stock management page will soon be going into beta testing.


Our revamped stock management page will help you to:

  • See all products where stock is being tracked
  • Easily adjust quantities, cost price, as well as minimum and maximum stock amounts
  • Track total cost of products, quantities of on-order amounts, and much more
  • Filter by low-stock items, suppliers, categories, and all of the other ways you track stock

Container fees now support additional flexibility by allowing users to set container fees as tax exempt, and ensures that these fees remain unaffected by any promotions or discounts applied to the transaction.

This enhancement helps streamline the management of recycling charges while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

This feature can be accessed and managed through Epos Now Labs and is available under different names based on location (e.g. Container Fees in the US and Canada, Deposit Return Scheme in Europe).

Once enabled it can be found under Manage > Products > Container fees.

  • Transaction report end date and time: We have fixed an issue where the end date and time was not being correctly updated in the transaction report filters when using touch-screen devices. The date and time picker now accurately captures both start and end times.
  • Stock report adjustment details: The stock adjustment details page now displays times in the local timezone instead of UTC, ensuring consistency across reports and eliminating confusion.
