- What is payment integration and how does it work?
-
Integrated payments refer to the seamless incorporation of payment processing into a business' point of sale (POS) and/or operational system. This helps to streamline transactions, monitor data, and enhance your business' efficiency.
An integrated payment gateway allows you to offer payment acceptance through multiple channels, including in-store, online, and mobile, and payment acceptance from all major payment types, such as credit cards and debit cards, and contactless.
Suppose you are a retailer who uses a point of sale system to process transactions. You can connect your POS system with a payment processing system to accept cash, credit and debit cards, as well as online purchases from your ecommerce store.
The integrated system automatically sends the transaction information to the payment processor when a customer pays with a credit or debit card. The processor will then authorize the payment and deposit the funds into your account.
