TikTok is Helping Small Businesses: Hereโ€™s How It Works

Earlier this month, the TikTok โ€œBack to Businessโ€ program was announced, and business should be excited. The social media company is giving away $100 million in advertising credits to small businesses!

Does your business qualify? If so, how much can you get?

Who is eligible for the TikTok Back to Business credit?

TikTok does not specify what businesses qualify, but the company says that small to medium businesses can claim a one-time ad credit worth $300. The ad credits must be used by December 31, 2020. If the company runs more ads, TikTok will match their ad spending 1-to-1 up to $2,000 per business.

Advertisers must be from the following countries to qualify for TikTok Back to Business:

  • Australia
  • Egypt
  • France
  • India
  • Israel

Why advertise on TikTok?

Social media advertising is one of the most effective ways of getting in front of customers, and TikTok is quickly taking up a considerable share of the market. The company expects to earn $500 million this year, with advertisements being a chief factor.

Although teenagers make up a sizeable portion of the appโ€™s user base, many Millenials and Gen Xers use the app daily. Research by Adobe found that advertising to Millennials on social media is more effective than any other channel. TikTok users spend nearly an hour a day on the app, and companies are all capitalizing on this market.
