Epos Now 2.131 Release Notes
Released 17 October 2023
Included in this release:
NEW: Cash discounting BETA is now available in the US
We’ve made more enhancements to the cash discounting feature.
Cash discounting allows Epos Now Payment merchants to grant a cash discount as a percentage of the total bill, or by a fixed value.
By enabling this feature, the Till will display the discounted cash price on the tender for staff, allowing them to add the preset discount to the total (when a cash payment is chosen). Cash discounts can be viewed on the Back Office using the discounts report.
If you’ve got Epos Now Payments and are interested in enabling cash discounting, please fill in the form below.

NEW: Card surcharging is now live in Australia
We’ve made more enhancements to our Australian card surcharging feature.
Our new card surcharging feature allows our Epos Now Payments merchants to pass on the card processing fees to the customer by adding a charge to the transaction when a customer pays with a credit or debit card. Surcharging is a way for merchants to pass on these costs to the cardholder, rather than absorbing them into the overall price of goods or services.
If you’re interested in signing up for card surcharging please register by clicking on the button below.

MINOR FIXES
- With support ending for browser Tills at the end of October '23, we have redesigned the POS download page to easily direct users to the best place to download the Till application (see image right). Click here to download the Till app.
- Reporting Categories and Till Categories Reports - In the past, some users raised concerns about discrepancies on these reports. To address this, we've revised the help text. This update offers clearer guidance on the inclusions and exclusions within both reports.
- Payout Report - We've identified and resolved a small number of discrepancies related to not reported payouts in customer reports.
